Advancing in Chen Tai Chi

Traditional Tai Chi Weapons Forms

Wednesday 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Learn to apply your Tai Chi principles in the flowing, elegant and exciting traditional Weaponry of Chen-style Tai Chi Broadsword and Chen-style Tai Chi  Straight Sword. We also practice Okinawan Kobudo, learning the traditional staff forms with their fluid, powerful movements! 

 

Participants must know the Lao Jia long form before taking this class!

Beginner Tai Chi

Monday 9:30 am - 10:30 am 

Experience the first 14 moves of the Traditional Chen-style Lao Jia Yi Lu Long Form including rhythmic silk reeling exercises & traditional Qi Gong movements for Balance & Circulation.

Advanced Tai Chi

Wednesday 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Taking your Tai Chi to the next level with the energy & structural principles within the Chen-style Lao Jia 74 movements long form practice and the exciting Cannon Fist form! Focusing on the structural requirements and energy principles brings your Tai Chi to the next level! The traditional Walu & Qi Gong exercises, along with rhythmic Silk Reeling exercises will be practiced in this class!

 

The Beginners class or proficiency in the first 14 movements of the Lao Jia is a requirement for the Advancing in Chen Tai Chi Class.

About Roxie Hein

Instructor Roxie Hein has studied and taught martial arts since 2008. She is a fully certified Tai Chi instructor with a 2nd degree Blackbelt in Taekwondo and is an international gold medalist competitor in the full Tai Chi curriculum.
